As the new Principal of Ward School I look forward to seeing how our Tamariki continue to develop and grow as active learners and participants in our community. Our vision of Leading Our Learning – Whai Akoranga drives everyone to be on TRACK at Ward School. We want our learners to know that they can make a difference to what and how they learn, the choices they make, and the relationships they have with others and their environment. Our “On TRACK” school values of being Together, Respectful, Adaptable, Creative, and Kind are the foundation of how we think, act, behave and grow at Ward School. At Ward School we create opportunities for every learner to have success and feel inspired to lead their learning by using “On TRACK” values all the way to the SEA. We want our awesome students to be Self-managing, Engaged, Active learners who think critically and seek to make positive impacts in their current and future communities.

Rippa Rugby tournament Year 4-5-6
Are there any other year 4-5-6 students who would like to play in the Rippa Rugby tournament next Wednesday?
Currently, we are lacking players to participate. We also need to have at least 3 girls in the team to play in the competitive grade.
So far, we have Mason, Casper, Kyra, Harry, Orlo, and Frank. We need a couple more parents for transport also, if possible please.
I need to let the guy know by Friday if we can enter a team. If your child is interested, can you please get back to me ASAP?.
Thanks,
Nicole
Hi everyone,
Due to a funeral happening on Friday afternoon, as a staff we have decided to postpone the Rock Pool assembly from this coming Friday, 23rd of May, until next week (week 5), Friday, 30th of May.
Thanks for your understanding.
Kind regards,
The Ward School staff
Hi all,
I am sharing with you a flyer regarding this coming Friday. On Friday, students can come dressed in pink for Pink Shirt Day. Pink shirt day is about speaking up, standing together to help stop bullying.
Can all students please bring a gold coin to help fundraise for the charity of Pink Shirt Day.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Nicole
