As the new Principal of Ward School I look forward to seeing how our Tamariki continue to develop and grow as active learners and participants in our community. Our vision of Leading Our Learning – Whai Akoranga drives everyone to be on TRACK at Ward School. We want our learners to know that they can make a difference to what and how they learn, the choices they make, and the relationships they have with others and their environment. Our “On TRACK” school values of being Together, Respectful, Adaptable, Creative, and Kind are the foundation of how we think, act, behave and grow at Ward School. At Ward School we create opportunities for every learner to have success and feel inspired to lead their learning by using “On TRACK” values all the way to the SEA. We want our awesome students to be Self-managing, Engaged, Active learners who think critically and seek to make positive impacts in their current and future communities.

Classroom trip to Flaxbourne Heritage Centre

Wave pool and Rock Pool students have walked to the Heritage Centre to visit the Anzac display, with their classroom teachers.

Marlborough District Swimming Sports Reminder

Just a reminder to students competing at the Marlborough District Swimming Sports: Year 5/6 students need to be at the pool by 9:30, and Year 7/8 students need to be there by 12:00. Mr Sangster will meet you there.

Bikes at School

Hello all, thank you to those who bought bikes to school for our ride on days. If we could get them picked up that would be great as they are currently stored in the library.

Reminder - RideOn Bikes Monday

Afternoon everyone,

Just a reminder that children need to bring their bikes to school on Monday and Tuesday, for those who have indicated they will be bringing them.

The RideOn Bike Skills team will be running sessions as follows:

Reef: 9:30am – 10:30am
Wavepool: 11:00am – 12:30pm
Rockpool: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
