Our Vision

Leading Our Learning - Whai Akoranga

Our Mission

To empower and lead our Tamariki to value their learning, identity, Whanau, and place.

Lets stay on ...

As the new Principal of Ward School I look forward to seeing how our Tamariki continue to develop and grow as active learners and participants in our community. Our vision of Leading Our Learning – Whai Akoranga drives everyone to be on TRACK at Ward School. We want our learners to know that they can make a difference to what and how they learn, the choices they make, and the relationships they have with others and their environment. Our “On TRACK” school values of being Together, Respectful, Adaptable, Creative, and Kind are the foundation of how we think, act, behave and grow at Ward School. At Ward School we create opportunities for every learner to have success and feel inspired to lead their learning by using “On TRACK” values all the way to the SEA. We want our awesome students to be Self-managing, Engaged, Active learners who think critically and seek to make positive impacts in their current and future communities.

Cross Country tomorrow
26 Jun 2024

Hi everyone,

Just a few things regarding tomorrow, cross country is still on with some slight changes to the track due to so much rain and mud everywhere. So this will be different to other years. Our aim is to keep everyone safe while still getting the chance to hold cross country.

If any families have tarps, can you please bring them tomorrow for us to use so the kids can sit on top of instead of getting wet. Please put your names on these so we can return them
If you have some of the sausages in your freezers for tomorrow, can you please take them out of the freezer tonight so they can start to defrost and bring these along tomorrow.

Please make sure your children wears warm clothes and running shoes. Jackets or Ward School Jerseys. Change of clothes is highly encouraged and spare shoes to change into afterwards. Also bring lunch and a water bottle.

Students can wear house colours to school tomorrow!

I look forward to seeing everyone pumped and ready to go tomorrow.

Thanks again,
